I am Clinical Director of Surgery at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where I also chair the Abdominal Wall Reconstruction MDT and serve as a core member of the Colorectal Cancer MDT and Endometriosis MDT. My academic role as Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London keeps my practice closely connected to the latest evidence and innovation.
Prior to becoming a consultant, I undertook fellowships at three world-famous tertiary colorectal centres: St. Mark's Hospital (London), the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (Sydney), and the Cleveland Clinic (Ohio, USA), where I was the Association of Coloproctology's visiting fellow in 2013.
Outside of clinical practice, I have a strong interest in healthcare leadership, patient safety, and surgical education. In 2015 I published Going into Hospital? A Guide for Patients, Carers and Families, aimed at empowering patients throughout their care pathway.
